The second page is rarely read by professionals. By the time you read the third page, you usually have neither the time nor the desire. Of course, one should not go to the other extreme – excessive brevity. The fourth rule of writing a CV is positivity. If you want your CV to stand out positively from the many others you have submitted, it must be written in positive language. It is not recommended to use words: bad, problem, nothing, always, mistake, never, failure, terribly. Using this group of words will not have a positive effect. For example, the use of too categorical words such as “never” or “always” may give rise to thoughts of a job-seeker being exaggerated. This is unlikely to make a positive impression on the employer.


The fifth important rule is literacy! The CV should be written without spelling, grammar and punctuation. If a document has a lot of errors, you can simply dump it without even reading and paying attention to all the other things.


Be honest when writing your resume. Knowledge of specific computer programs, knowledge of languages, knowledge of certain skills can all be verified very quickly. If you so request, you will need to confirm the information you provide by means of appropriate samples or documentary evidence.

But if you decide to put a picture on your CV, remember that it must meet a number of requirements. Only one person should be pictured in the photo – you must also have a clear view of your face.
